Our mission is to bring the light of the masjid into the streets of Nelson by empowering local volunteers to carry out acts of service, compassion, and community care. Through the Good in the Hood Project, we aim to:
- Tackle social isolation and loneliness through regular check-ins, doorstep conversations, and neighbourly care;
- Revive the Prophetic spirit of khidmah (service) by helping the elderly, vulnerable, and struggling households;
- Foster unity and pride in our neighbourhoods, promoting cleanliness, safety, and cooperation;
- Inspire youth to become active agents of positive change through hands-on community projects and outreach;
- Turn every home and heart into part of the Nelson 2034 vision, where faith meets action and the Ummah stands together.
