If you are an asylum seeker or refugee and require help please call us on 01282 899195 or fill in the form:

The aim is to help asylum seekers and refugees to fully integrate into the community in Pendle. No one coming into Pendle should experience poverty, hunger, and difficulties. The asylum seekers and refugees should be equipped with enough experience, skills, and confidence to make a difference to the community of Pendle.

Each family/household will be provided with a mentor that can assess their needs and help to fulfil those needs. The mentors will be a good point of contact for all those coming to Pendle. We already have Arab, Kurdish, Farsi, Urdu and English speaking mentors.

The project will involve offering help and support in the following areas:

Physical/economic needs:

• Money
• Food (we can provide food that is appropriate to the culture of the person)
• Clothes
• Toys
• Kitchen appliances such as fridges, washing machines
• Kitchen utensils
• Furniture such as sofas, tables
• Blankets (which is a big one as in our experience the blankets provided by serco are always inadequate)
